Type of Membership

There are two types of membership in the Ermine Street Guard:

FULL MEMBERSHIP or
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

Full membership will interest you if you wish to participate in displays and play an active role within the ESG.

Armour is provided free by the ESG, but members are expected to keep their equipment in good condition.

FULL membership is £30 a year, payable prorata if you join mid way through the year.

Associate Membership is open to anyone who is interested in the Roman army but is unable to take an active part in construction and display.

Associate members will receive copies of “Exercitus”, the bulletin of the ESG and newsletters, which give details of displays, meetings and other activities. They may attend all ESG meetings.

Associate membership is £7 a year
